Choreografien der Landschaft

Die Linie eines Weges oder die Beschaffenheit einer Wiesenfläche lenken nicht nur die Richtung unserer Bewegungen durch die Landschaft, sondern beeinflussen auch deren Dynamik und Rhythmus. Gleichzeitig steht die Vergänglichkeit menschlicher Bewegungen dem beständigen Takt natürlicher (physikalischer und biologischer) Prozesse gegenüber, wie etwa dem Wachsen der Bäume, der Erosionskraft des Windes, der Auffaltung der Berge.

Diese choreografischen Aspekte der Landschaftsmorphologie werden in dem Wahlfach auf unterschiedliche Weise untersucht: Mit einer Auswahl an Texten und Filmen tauchen wir in das Thema ein und vertiefen individuell bedeutsame Positionen aus Tanz, Kunst und Landschaftsarchitektur. Zudem begeben wir uns in die Landschaft selber und erproben das Verhältnis unserer eigenen Körperbewegungen zum Raum.

The line of a path or the texture of a meadow guides our movement through the landscape. It impacts a dynamic and a rhythm. At the same time, the transience of human gestures contrasts with continuous natural (physical and biological) processes, such as the growth of trees, the erosive force of the wind, the folding of mountains.

In this elective, we will investigate these choreographic aspects of landscape morphology in different ways: We will discuss a selection of texts and films and examine significant positions from dance, art and landscape architecture. In addition, we will practically explore the relation of our own movements to the landscape.
