Choreografien der Landschaft
Die Vergänglichkeit menschlichen Tuns steht dem beständigen Takt natürlicher (physikalischer und biologischer) Prozesse gegenüber, wie etwa dem Wachsen der Bäume, der Erosionskraft des Windes, der Auffaltung der Berge. An einem Ort treffen Bewegungen unterschiedlichster Dimensionen aufeinander, lösen einander ab oder fliessen zusammen. Wir Menschen sind längst teil dieser komplexen Choreografien geworden: Wir passen die Umwelt unseren Bedürfnissen an und schreiben dadurch neue Bewegungsflüsse, Rhythmen und Formen in die (Stadt-) Landschaften ein.
Diese dynamischen Aspekte der Landschaftsmorphologie werden im Wahlfach auf unterschiedliche Weise untersucht. Wie orientieren wir uns als Architekt*innen in solchen transskalaren Prozessen und woran richtet sich die Gestaltung der Bewegung aus? Mit einer Auswahl an Texten und Filmen tauchen wir in das Thema ein und vertiefen bedeutsame Positionen aus Tanz, Kunst und Landschaftsarchitektur. In experimentellen Mini-Workshops begeben wir uns selbst in die Landschaft und erproben das Verhältnis unserer eigenen Körperbewegungen zum Raum.
The transience of human actions contrasts with the constant pulse of natural (physical and biological) processes, such as the growth of trees, the erosive force of the wind, the folding of mountains. In one place, movements of the most different dimensions meet, detach from each other or flow together. We humans have long since become part of these complex choreographies: We adapt the environment to our needs and thereby inscribe new flows of movement, rhythms and forms into the (urban) landscapes.
In this elective, dynamic aspects of landscape morphology are explored in different ways. How do we as architects orient ourselves in transscalar processes? With a selection of texts and films we dive into the topic and examine significant positions from dance, art and landscape architecture. In intense mini-workshops we will go into the landscape ourselves and test the relations of our own bodily movements to the space.
