Isabelle Fehlmann received degrees in both Art and Architectural History as well as Geography, with an emphasis on alpine architecture in Switzerland, from the University of Zurich. She also studied at the EPHE and Sorbonne in Paris. After her studies, Isabelle Fehlmann worked as a research associate and assistant curator, first at the Kunstmuseum Thurgau and then at the Kunstmuseum Bern. Since 2015 she has been working at the Chair of Prof. Christophe Girot. Her research and teaching focus on the perception and representation of landscape and combine theoretical analysis with practical experimentation. She is currently writing her doctoral thesis on the role and value of the alpine landscape in the design of Swiss mountain roads during motorization. Isabelle Fehlmann is co-author and editor of the book publications “Delta Dialogues”, “Auf Abwegen” and “Exklusiv Europabrücke – on Detours through Zurich Altstetten” (gta Verlag).
