Elective and Thesis Elective at Hardau Zürich

The task of this semester’s elecive resp. diploma elective course is the representation and visibility of the inbetween space (“Zwischenraum”) in the urban landscape. What do we sense in the different city spaces, how do we perceive them and how can we summon the things heard, seen, felt in a filmic montage. Together with students from the elective course of LandscapeTheory we are going to investigate these urban inbetween spaces with the video camera.

We are going to juxtapose both qualities of text and film and discuss their respective virtue. The elective and the elective diploma work are combined (and can not be enrolled seperately) are going to be held in two workshops, 2 afternoons and 2 evenings with guest lectures.
